Welcome to my world.
Thank you for stopping by to see what I have been up to lately. I have just been enjoying my life. Between family time, getting the youngest one graduated, my oldest one off for vacation and being the pet sitter, and having my daughter finalize her start to medical school. What more can you ask for. Izzie and Jasper to keep you sane.
Now in honor of the Mothers in this world. What has been the most fun about being a Mom? I have had a blast watching these 3 children of mine grow up and become adults. And I really like who they have become. So tell me about your life?
Have an awesome day everyone!

Hi Carol,
Now that you have a blog, how about an Izzie picture?
Also the one with you and Lauren is nice, and the one with you and Grams would be good for posting.

What has been the most fun about being a Mom? TNTC =To Numerous To Count!

I am still in awe of having watched my children evolve, the day by day developments! From total dependance to never total independence.
The difference in the ties that bind us at different times, and the gender difference of these ties with my 2 sons and my one daughter.

Sounds like you have done a fine "job".
I cannot be so proud about my 2 sons, but of course that is because of their father's jeans.

Your positive spirit shines through in every one of your posts. Nice to get to know you.

Under the topic of traveling. Frustration is the key word for dealing with the wrong date on an non refundable ticket with United Airllines. Try getting a real person on the phone, it took 2 days. Guess where they are! INDIA!!! Put on hold, canned music. Cost to change flight, $100, on a $164.00 ticket. It was after 24 hours of the internet purchase. Wait, I tried to reach a person. Doesn't count. How do you say CONSPIRACY!! The reason for the wrong date, their sites calender doesn't show up, and I was too busy to check my e-mail. No problem, $100. Our policy.
My site, I can sure vent on this one.
Now on to having an awesome day!!

The reason for the one way flight from Denver. I am being a Mom and driving with my youngest on his move to Denver. And I want to see Colorado. I missed a state last summer.

Hey Carol, good morning.

For some reason, I missed seeing the photos of your pet Izzie.lol I've heard so much about him, it would be nice if you posted his photo here. Also one of your grams.

Isn't it great having your own blogsite to post and vent on?!haha

Have a great time seeing Colorado.

p.s.

What has been the most fun about being a Mom?

To tell the truth, it didn't seem much fun at first. And then, it got easier as they grew older. For me, the most fun has been seeing them taking tiny steps towards their future....first library book brought home and dilgently being read out loud, first 100% Math paper waved madly about when racing to my waiting car after school, first Student of the Month awards and for my first child, a natural love and aptitude for learning and playing the violin. Definitely, the creative one in our family.

The fun continues and every day I learn something new about each of them.

hi carol, i thank God for giving me strength and keeping me alive to raise my children. they are both adults now with their own families, and i can see the same principles i instilled in them being instilled in their children. it wasn't always easy, but we had good times, fun times, and have pictures and memories to pass down. now, this is my time again, and i'm enjoying it.

Hi Sylvia,
I Thank God every day for my kids. They turned out awesome. They still give me grief. But thats their job.
I just moved my youngest to Denver. It seems so permanent. So I took off to my boyfriends when I returned. I haven't been home since.
I guess you can say I ran away from home for awhile again. My daughter is holding down the fort. Being an adult and watching her pets. I do miss Izzie though.
Off to help Sam on the boat.

hi carol, hope all is well in your neck of the woods. hmmmm, why do we say that? what is "neck" and why the woods? especially if you don't live in a wooded area. oh, well, just a thought on my way to seeing how you're doing. i think the tropical storm has passed over, hasn't it? i hope so.

Hi all,
For my next blog, (when I figure out how to change it and post a picture), I will tell all about my many residences thru the years. The longest that I have lived in one state, not place, since I grew up on the Jersey Shore, is here in Florida.
Happy Sunday everyone.

Hi there Carol,

I didn't realize you'd gotten a blog up. Here it is nearly July before I found that out! How slow am I? LOL

I always enjoy your posts over on Frannie's. Good luck here.

Hi Carol
I was hoping to see pics...maybe next time...
Thanks for stopping by my blog and sharing your park story.
We have something in common in that we were both married to servicemen. I also have a son in Denver who used to live in Florida (Lake Mary and Melbourne) I enjoy visiting him and his family whenever I can get away. Summers in Colorado are the best!
I remember reading your travel stories with grams...by the way, how old is grams? Is she still up to travelling? My mom (Oma) just celebrated her 85th birthday on June 24th and she's always ready to go...she wants to visit her family in Holland next year and I'm hoping to travel with her...she's lots of fun and we have a lot in common...she's my best friend and I'm so lucky to have her in my life...we've become closer since I divorced in 1999 and moved to California to be near her and the rest of my family...My father, "Opa" passed away in 1995...they were married 50 years.

I remember stopping by your blog some time ago when you had photographs posted on your web site..how is that going? they were very good.

Goodnight...need to catch some shut eye as morning comes early in my "neck of the woods". By the way Sylvia...that does sound funny doesn't it?

Hi everyone,
My photography web site is still up. I will eventually figure out how to post pictures on this site. I promise.
My Grams will be 92 on October 1st. We plan on a trip to Nova Scotia. You can't keep her down. She's awesome. It's summer time on the Cape, so she's griping about all the traffic and tourists. She still drives really well. But tries to stay off the road during all the congestion.
Have an awesome day everyone. Izzie got fixed yesterday, so I will have fun trying to keep her quiet.

Hi Carol,
Your Grams is truly awesome.
She carries herself well, must have taken her Calcium besides being so active.
Isn't it nice for you to look at such great "jeans"?

When is your next job interview? Hair holding up?

Franny just mailed me and her blog is closed, so she must be busy.....good job, Carol!

Got off a 12 hour shift a little bit ago. Am too brain dead to think of anything clever to write.

Hi Carol,
Thanks for your comment on my blog.

I have been to your site, that is where I saw pictures of your Grams.

I agree the German team gave it a great shot.
Thanks for your sympathy.

Don't feel like talking about anything right now, including sex.
I find it disgusting for any male to grind their whatever against me. Had me walk off the dance floor several times.

Good point about Xes, they never change. Well, to some extent we don't either, but I always tried to adjust, take people as they are. I have never looked at anybody to "change them", its' asking for the impossible.
We can only change ourselves.

Here in Akron/ Cleveland, Ohio we have been having enormous rainfall since 4 AM, would not let me sleep.
Drying up some now, in time for the fireworks
