Riding is so much fun.

The weather has been just glorious down here.
I have taken advantage of lighter traffic on the weekends to ride.
The neighborhood behind me is very quiet with lots of stop signs,
light traffic, a peaceful place to learn turning and stopping.

I even went out by myself for 2 hours and drove some local neighborhoods,
then ventured to my old neighborhood, by the beach, and did some more
stopping, turning and just plain enjoying the day. Did I take advantage of
the time change? You bet I did. I rode while everyone slept. I call this getting
my confidence up.

Yesterday was also my sons 24th birthday. So we had a family BBQ at his new place.
My adopted sons girlfriend just moved down here from NJ and will be living with the boys.
She will fit in nicely. My daughter made him his birthday cake. A Kryspy Kream doughnut
cake with strawberries and candles. A sight for sure. A typical interesting family gathering.

So may all your challenges be conquered with grace and courage. I am challenging myself
in a positive way. Pushing the envelope of comfort for sure. But that is what life is all about.

Have an awesome day!!

hey biker chick,

we had 70 degree weather on monday & tuesday, and 80 degree weather on yesterday. however, today is to be a rainy day with possible snow over the weekend. so while you're out this weekend, make a turn towards maryland and ride on down and pick me up. *lol* kidding, but sounds good.

you should put a pic of your son's krispy kreme birthday cake here. have a great day.

Hi Sylvia,
I still have no clue how to post a picture.
Work has been brutal. Flights very late. I just don't think 1 a.m. is just not my idea of fun.
They are saying that it will be raining tomorrow and Saturday. So I guess i'll put my cover back on my bike again.
Sleep time.

hi carol,

just checking in to see how you're doing. we had so many flights here cancelled. everything i believe is back on track now. i can't imagine being stuck at an airport for hours on end.

with the new blogger, posting pics is a little easier than before. i haven't done any yet, but going to "layout" gives you different options for posting extra stuff.

anyway, i hope you're catching up on rest, and hopefully by now you've had some bike-riding time.

take care,
sylvia

Hi Sylvia,
I have gotten a lot of riding time in. I try to get out every morning to just ride locally. A friend of mine from Delta likes to ride.
I have been working way too much overtime. 24 hours last week. Tough work week. My shoulder is bad again.
The weather has been glorious. But 6 day work weeks, 12 hour days, out at 1 am. Way too long. It rained all day today. So I had my nails done today. No riding yesterday and today. My shoulder was killing me.

Have an awesome day!!

well, the good thing about all your work is your paycheck. $$$ kaching kaching

take care of your shoulder. maybe you can get one of those heat pads and wear even while you work. don't know how that'll work out, but it just may help.

that was really wild about the judge in the anna nicole smith case being arrested. now if you can't trust the law to do right, then who?

take care and rest in between work.

Hi Carol,
It was good to hear from you.
Great you are riding a bike!
Maybe the sore shoulder comes from tightening your muscles with the tension of making bike turns, and than working long hours with disgruntled customers. Have your daughter practice soft tissue manipulation on your neck and shoulders! Be good for both of you!
I started some things at a relative "old age", like snow skiing at 38 and water skiing at 52. Think I could handle a motorbike at "Medicare" age?
Are you ready for T-day tomorrow?
Ellen

thanx for all of your encouraging comments, support, and beautiful pics you sent while my internet was down. i'm still sorting thru my inbox and looked at a few of the pics you've sent. i'll be going thru my email throughout the weekend, so i'll check out the rest of the pics.

hope all is well with you. how's the shoulder coming along? tell one of those biker hunks to ride on down this way. *lol* now that would be wild. *lol*

hope you've had a great day and will have an enjoyable weekend. we're back to beautiful 80 degree weather here. i'm glad.

take care,
sylvia

hi carol,

i'm glad you were able to get some relaxing time in to ride your bike. i was wondering if you were rollin' with the "rolling thunder" this memorial weekend, but i see you didn't ride this far. *lol*

we've had hot, humid weather here with thunderstorms being forecast thru next weekend. that's the only thing i hate about summer.

i hope you have an enjoyable, fun, and relaxing day today.
