How was your Christmas?

Christmas day has come and gone for another year.
I must say I had a very nice day. The kids all got along.
Everyone had a very nice, non drama and peaceful day.

I started out the day with a mild work out at the gym.
My daughter followed me shortly to the gym and de-stressed.
The gym was busy with the regulars. If the gym is my only addiction,
then it's all good.

My riding group called to see if I wanted to go out at night and ride
around the mansions looking at lights. I almost went, but we were having such
a nice time at home, I passed.

This morning I dropped my daughter off at the airport at 6:30 am. Off she goes
to New Jersey.

I am off to the gym again this morning for a workout with my trainer. Then time
to learn about a new career.. Today was my goal day for starting my research. I figured
a nice peaceful week for studying would do. A new direction to start the new year.

So what are you doing this week?

I'm so glad your Christmas was good and that you stayed in your workout routine. You must feel great. Today I'm going to the movies and continuing opening gifts, not sure of tomorrow, then it's back to work. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Hi Cheryl,
I hope your Christmas was as nice as mine was. I find working out a stress buster. And hopefully it keeps my blood pressure down.

hi Carol, thanks for changing the color. this is so much better; i can see now. where are you? haven't seen you around the blogs in the past few days.

i wonder if our gyms here were open on Christmas. i think that's good they were open. i'm glad you had a beautiful Christmas with your children.

riding to the mansions to look at the decorated homes, lights, etc. sounds like fun.

i'm getting ready for the new year also with some goals i want to finish working on. hopefully, one of these scholarships will come thru for me so i can finish up my last 5 classes. i'm going to be exercising more. we have free step aerobics here where i live once a week, and the municipal center has tai chi once a week. i've thought about that for some stretching for my body and some strengthening for my mind and body. i'm going to work again on getting my book of poetry published. this is a start for me, and i'll adapt and change as the year progresses.

what are you doing for new year's eve? i always go to church, and i'll be doing the same this year.

have a great weekend!

Hi Sylvia,
I have just been quiet and reading along.

We had a tough day up in New Jersey. My adopted son almost died last night. Someone spiked his drink while he was in a casino. His body didn't like it. He spent the day in intensive care, but once they took the tube out, and the meds started working on his pneumonia, he checked himself out. My wusband and daughter were there, so he'll take it east at his girlfriends parents house for a few days before coming home.

New Years Eve will be spent at the beach with my riding friends and maybe my sometimes boyfriend.
He and I are having a beach day tomorrow and then off to a Foreigner concert. A nice day. I need it.

I like your goals. I hope they come true.

hi Carol, i accidentally omitted you when i was notifying people of my new link, although i still have people to notify. i changed my blog link, so when you click on my name here, it'll take you to my blog and you can pick up the new link there.

the white writing on the blue background is really pretty.

i'm sorry to hear about your adopted son and what happened to him, but i'm certainly glad he's feeling much better. i always told my daughter to never leave her drink or food, and if so, then don't drink it or eat it. people are really nuts!

what was he doing out with pneumonia? can you be out and about with that? i always thought you were either in the hospital or had to stay home in the bed. i wish him a speedy recovery.

my goals will come true because i've chosen ones i can easily work on and get thru--at least those ones. there are some that are just in God's timing.

have a great day today! we had rain all throughtout the evening and nite, so hopefully today will be a nicer day, although we're supposed to be heading toward colder weather for the new year. the beach on New Year's eve--sounds like Heaven! sigh! lol

Hi Sylvia,
the pneumonia is a result of the drug he got slipped. It did a number on his lungs. Lets just say it was not pretty. And your right. People are nuts. I hope this calms him down for awhile. I can only hope.
I am just happy he's going to be ok. They drove up to Jersey, so they will be delayed coming home due to his health. He's not up to the non stop drive yet.

Today is a beach day followed by a Foreigner concert tonight. Fun day!

Hi Carol, thanks for your comments on my post about my daughter. You can now read the latest update - surgery over and all looks good for now. Still have to wait for the pathology report, though. It has been quite the Christmas week!

hi Carol, i'm glad he's ok also.

i've never heard of foreigner before. what kind of music do they play? an outside concert at this time of year sounds divine. sigh! not here in md though. lol

Hi Sylvia,
Foreigner plays more of old time rick and roll. Google them and see if you can listen. You'd be surprised at how many of their songs you grew up listening too. More like 70's and 80"s. Great music.

Pretty day today. I rode to the gym, then to the kids house, and then off to the beach for a late lunch with my youngest and his girlfriend.

My adopted son is not well enough to drive home. Maybe tomorrow. His step monster(sorry) and his girlfriends mom are not letting him leave yet. I am glad someone is keeping a lid on him.

My daughter is in the air on the way home. Izzie and Shiloh will be happy to see her. These puppies don't like either of us leaving.

I hope everyones is having a great day.

hi Carol, ok, i'll google them shortly. you had a good day yesterday. i went to the movies and saw P.S. I Love You--a real tearjerker, but it was good. i cried thru the whole movie; kind of therapeutic for me.

I WISH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ALL OF GOD'S BEST IN THE COMING 2008 NEW YEAR. MAY YOU CONTINUE TO GROW IN HIS LOVE AND GRACE, AND BE BLESSED WITH ALL OF THE ABUNDANCE THAT HE HAS FOR YOU!

we've come a long way baby!!!

love & hugs,
sylvia
