We had so much fun this weekend.

The parks are decorated for the Holidays in all their splendor. Wow.

This is a picture of us backstage before the parade. On Sunday we surprised Erin with being guests of The Animal Kingdom by riding a float in the parade. I got to see all my friends that I used to work with and be in the parade. Totally mind blowing.
The musical shows in The Animal Kingdom are just superb.

I will say the parks were packed all weekend. People people everywhere.

After all was said and done, she couldn't decide which park she liked the best.

Just an all around fantastic time was had by all. It was great seeing my friends, and just having some down time.

Just in case you were wondering, The Goofy hats were in honor of the float we were on. It's called the Goofy unit because Goofy was right behind us and so was my friend Cy. He's the bear in the picture giving us a huge hug.

We had all just gotten instructions to take no pictures back stage or our cameras would be taken from us. The manager and Cy came over, asked for my camera and did a close up. It really pays to know people.

It also pays to know the manager who remembered me from when I was a character there 2 years ago.

I hope everyone had as great a weekend as I did.

i love disney world. it's so magical, and you sound like you had a magical weekend. i'm glad erin got to be a guest on the float for her birthday weekend. sorry about your laryngitis. take care of yourself, and i know you'll feel better in a couple of days.

Sylvia you are so funny,
Erin has her birthday in March. 2 days after my youngest has his. They are the same age. We just had a get out of town girls weekend. She needed some female time with out maleness around.
Erin lives in a house with 3 20 something guys. Testosterone abounds. And she always says her boyfriend (my adopted) and Andrew (my youngest) should be in the relationship. The boys are just that close, strange. They live together, work together, etc.
It's non ending most days.

I hope your having an awesome week.

I am off to the gym and maybe a beach day with friends from the gym. But the weather just might not cooperate with us. Kind of cloudy.

oops! big oops! i thought you went for her birthday, but i like the "got-to-get-away" weekend too. i remember you were sharing with me about the guy's friendship. that's really special.

no beach day here today. LOL yeah, right, like that could even happen here in december. the winds are gusting so hard. yesterday and today, they were gusting up to 50mph. they're talking about possible snow tomorrow. not ready for that yet!!! i'll settle for cloudy!

have a great nite!

It must be wonderful having an 'in' at Disney. Did you enjoy your time working there? How fun to be in the parade. Which one are you?

It sounds like you guys had a fantastic time. I so wanted to go to Disney this year for Christmas. We are not doing the traditional Christmas this year. We are going on vacation. So, I may see if I can squeeze it in, if not we are going to a resort in Charlotte, NC.

Anywho, back to you. Did you used to work at Disney? How did you pull off being a guest in The Animal Kingdom parade? I know Erin had a blast!

I know there were a lot of people there. There is never a dull moment at Disney. I am glad you had some time to have fun.

Keep in touch and drop by my spot.
